Communications

Hazlemere Parish Council recognises its overarching role at the heart of the community and values its unique position to be able to provide community leadership. An effective and professional communications strategy is imperative for setting a standard for engagement both within the Council and with its community. The Council recognises that the services it provides must reflect the needs of residents and the locality. As a Council, it wants to ensure that communication is two-way – telling people about the Council, and listening to what people say about the services they would like to see. It will set the framework by which Councillors communicate with each other as well as with the community. The Council is committed to providing open and transparent information about its business.

Hazlemere Parish Council is committed to making the best use of all available technology and innovation to improve the way we communicate in Hazlemere. This includes using all reasonable and cost-effective means to improve the way we communicate, reach out and interact with the different communities we serve.

The remit of the Communications Working Party is to review all current methods of communication, both internal and external, and to recommend to Council improvements to the content, structure and frequency of those communication methods. Also the Committee should identify additional methods of communication not currently used, and recommend how best to use them to improve the effectiveness of Council communications.
Hazlemere Parish Council communicate with the Community via the website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Noticeboards and an annual report in Hazlemere Fete Brochure. We are contactable by visiting the office at Cedar Barn, emailing [email protected] or by phone 01494 715548.

In 2022 the Council approved the redesign and improvement of an accessibility friendly website which was launched in May 2022.
